We had one home sale in Forest Ridge last month. This home is located at 9341 Southern Orchard Road. The final sale price was $345,000. This property was originally listed in July 2011 for $405,000.

The first quarter of the year came to an end over the weekend. This revealed four homes sold in Forest Ridge.

January: one home sold
February: one home sold

The following two homes in the month of March.

8975 Lake Park was orginally listed for $324,900.

The price was reduced to $319,000.

The final sale price was $300,000. This is a four bedroom with two and a half bathroom home.

2743 W. Orchard Circle sold for $420,000.

The list price was $449,000.

Today we reflect on the ever changing Real Estateenvironment and in particular: the marketing of homes.

Gone are the days of newspaper and magazine print marketing. Within the real estate industry we have seen many printed media outlets close their doors.At one time, prior to our most recent change in the real estate market a buyer could search for a home in numerous magazines dedicated to real estate. These magazines were glossy, hip, chic and trendy. Sadly many of these magazines have gone.

Many Real Estate Brokerages continue to promote their offerings in local newspapers. The major difference today, in the 21st century these magazines and newspapers have gone on-line. They are visible worldwide. The world suddenly has gotton much smaller.

This is reflected in the methods used to market homes.

Our marketing includes the many avenues. Of course we have a website. BTW, we were one of the first to market in this manner.

And yes of course, some how the words we use to express ourselves have also changed. Life is quick, and fast paced, no time for complete sentences, By The Way… we all somehow have created a new online language…LOL!

Of course we have this blog, our online newspaper so to speak. Like our website, our blog has evolved and developed along its life of over three years.

We have also joined ABC, NBC and CBS television stations. We also have our own YouTube Channel…. do we need to join SAG (Screen Actors Guild)?

It is easy to catch up with our daily events on Facebook and of course we have our Facebook Fanpage. Doesn’t everyone?

Real estate marketing has evolved. It has changed with the times and we have lead the way.

At the end of the day, real estate sales/marketing is really the same throughout the years. It is people dealing with people. Treating people the way you expect to be treated.
